    Meeting Information:

In recent years, federal and even some state governments have promulgated several regulations aimed at holding employers responsible for employing unauthorized workers, including but not limited to mandatory E-Verify for some employers.  U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and several state agencies also have increased investigation of employers and For I-9 audits.  At the same time,  the Justice Department’s Office of Special Counsel for Immigration-Related Unfair Employment Practices (OSC) and some state are becoming increasingly aggressive in investigating employers for possible discrimination.  The tension between employment eligibility verification and antidiscrimination requirements under federal and state laws have subjected many uninformed employers to needless civil penalties and other adverse consequences.

A non-cancellation fee of $15.00 will be charged to anyone that is registered for the meeting and is unable to attend, but does not cancel by 5:00pm on Thursday prior to the scheduled meeting.
